About Gregory White

Gregory White is a Parisian sports journalist who had his Damascus moment in a Bordeaux vineyard and changed career entirely. He studied oenology in Beaune and settled in Aspiran near Pézenas in 2013. The estate is 4.8 hectares on alluvial sandy galets soils that give softness and drinkability. Varieties: Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault, Carignan for red, and Grenache Blanc and Terret Bourret for white — vines aged 25 to 80 years. Manual harvest, indigenous yeasts, fermentation in stainless steel tanks, no filtration, no sulphites. Gregory tastes the wines every day during fermentation and pumps over daily to extract tannins in the right way. The wines are known for their glou-glou character — frank, fresh and easy-going. The labels are as direct as the wines: 'White is Rouge' and 'White is Blanc' are barely descriptions, more a joke about the surname.
